Our sincerest apologies for those already in progress on the Pegboard Lace Tunic. We've discovered an error in the lace pattern, specifically in round 6, after the work is joined for knitting in the round. The error has been corrected in the pattern.
We've also added a handy-dandy video tutorial to help you with the icord seams! Thanks to Caroline for creating this video:
Feedback about our patterns is always welcome. If you have any qu ...

I love blogs like this: http://lookbook.nu/. Actual people, showing off their inspiring and wonderfully fashionable outfits. They all make it look so effortless. I've seen a few others like this, but can't remember them. Anyone know of any more, or have any favorites like this? Post them in the comments!
Thanks to Barb for sending this link along.

Lion Brand gets trendy. |

My first impression of the recent Lion Brand fashion show is that they're trying to be too many things to too many knitters. They showed some very trendy pieces, some really atrocious pieces, and a whole lot of trying-too-hard-to-be-trendy pieces. Not that I blame them. It must be hard to try to target the Tween knitter market and the Hipster knitter market, and the Soccer Mom knitter market, and the Elderly knitter market and just about every other knitter market all at the same time. Some confusion over trends is bound to ensue.
Check it out. What do you think?

I know, I know, I was supposed to be finished with the Spring 2009 issue today. I'm still working on it, and it will be here, but I don't know when. Hopefully no longer than a week. So hold tight and bear with me, and if you want to know more about the reasons behind all this, read on.
I've been mulling over the future of MPMK a lot lately. I love doing it, but it eats up a lot of time and interferes with my little crafty business. I also have a day job, a house that's in need of constant repair, a husband who wants a few minutes of my time every now and then, and this little thing called a life outside of knitting. I love to go like the energizer bunny, but I can't do anything about the universe shortchanging us on the number of hours in a day. So my mindset recently has been swinging towards not publishing this little magazine at ...

I plan to publish our spring issue at the end of March, hopefully on the 31st. Stay tuned!
Warmer weather is on it's way (in the northern hemisphere anyway) and our thoughts are turning to light and airy cotton knits, sleeveless tops and sundresses, spaghetti straps and bikinis. But if you get started now, you just might be able to finish one of these by next winter:

I started MPMK simply because I thought it would be fun and it would be nice to cover this little niche of the knitting world. It's still fun, but it sure is a lot of work, and it's darn expensive. My day job takes precedence, and I'd love to have a life outside of work and knitting, so it's time for me to either ask for help, or call it quits.
What I need:
A "Director of Advertising", which is a really snazzy way of saying that I need somebody to help me get advertising going on this site. I'll give you access to our stats and whatever other info you need, and you harass gently coerce yarn stores, indie crafters, and fashionistas of various types to advertise on MPMK. I'm flexible about the whole thing, and need to nail down the details with whomever is interested.
A "Blog Manager", which is a snazzy way of saying that I need somebody to troll the internet for fashionable a ...

If J. Crew has made it, you know it's going to be a classic. So all you folks who are worried about our knits being too trendy can go right on ahead and knit yourself a St. James. It's staying power is proven.
