Variations of the shorter-sleeved, cabled, outerwear sweater are popping up all over retail lately, from the high-end at Nordstrom all the way to more accessible versions at Target. The short-sleeved and cabled outerwear trend definitely has roots in the trend forecasts for this season. The forecasts showed styles similar to these, and cable detailing made numerous appearances on the runways.
So do you want to make something like these sweaters? Turns out, we don't even have to rush to knock these off. There's already a sweater pattern from Drops Design that will do nicely.
If you have any more examples of this trend in retail, or if you find any similar knitting patterns, post the links in the comments!
