About the Editor... Or, why we won't be publishing the Spring issue on time.

I know, I know, I was supposed to be finished with the Spring 2009 issue today. I'm still working on it, and it will be here, but I don't know when. Hopefully no longer than a week. So hold tight and bear with me, and if you want to know more about the reasons behind all this, read on.

I've been mulling over the future of MPMK a lot lately. I love doing it, but it eats up a lot of time and interferes with my little crafty business. I also have a day job, a house that's in need of constant repair, a husband who wants a few minutes of my time every now and then, and this little thing called a life outside of knitting. I love to go like the energizer bunny, but I can't do anything about the universe shortchanging us on the number of hours in a day. So my mindset recently has been swinging towards not publishing this little magazine at all. I know I'd miss it though, so I recently decided to commit to a Fall issue, but I'm not going to make myself all crazy about it. If I miss deadlines I apologize, but it's better than nothing at all, right? And the same applies to the current issue. I've been sick, I've been busy, and I've been working. I've been slipping in MPMK where I can, and I'll keep plugging away at it this week. Better late than never.

I love what we have to offer for this issue, and I hope to share it all with you by Saturday or so. In the meantime, let me show you my favorite new knit of Spring:

What knits do you want to buy or make this Spring? Post a link in the comments to share with everyone.

I just found your site - it's great! I'll happily take late MPMK over no MPMK at all.

Thank you for the update on MPMK's status. I've been eagerly awaiting the spring edition, but I understand that we only have so many hours in a day, and life has to take priority. Thank you for all the hard work that you do.

Thank you for sharing the double v-neck top! I was combing Ravelry for a certain style of top and was having a very hard time finding it... I wanted something that crossed over in the front like that, but wasn't a wrap cardigan.

First of all, your magazine is truly wonderful and always inspiring - whenever your schedule allows is more than fine by me! Secondly, for Spring I'm thinking about lacy cardigans with plunging necklines and maybe a few short-sleeve office-appropriate sweaters (I'm trying to envision Prism in cotton). Again, thank you for all your hard work - it's much appreciated!
