Lion Brand gets trendy.

My first impression of the recent Lion Brand fashion show is that they're trying to be too many things to too many knitters. They showed some very trendy pieces, some really atrocious pieces, and a whole lot of trying-too-hard-to-be-trendy pieces. Not that I blame them. It must be hard to try to target the Tween knitter market and the Hipster knitter market, and the Soccer Mom knitter market, and the Elderly knitter market and just about every other knitter market all at the same time. Some confusion over trends is bound to ensue.

Check it out. What do you think?

Thanks to Alyssa for sending it along!

Have to agree with your comments. There were about 3 things the DIL's would like. I don't care how you tart up the model there is nothing new about a garter stitch scarf. The bulky stuff looks like Barbie dressed in chunky yarn

This video is funny or sad, depending on the kind of person you are. I found it sad. Do other major yarn companies have similar runway shows? If so, is there a good link to see these videos?

I liked it! I agree that garter stitch scarves can be boring, but I liked these, and they reminded me that they can be dressed up or jazzed up by using color, length and texture. A good scarf can always enhance a boring outfit!
